You aren’t listening. You have no idea what you are talking about. People who study trauma and trauma responses disagree with you. People who have had it happen to them disagree with you. You are not putting yourself in her position, you’re making an incredibly uninformed guess about what you would do in a situation

I love the idea that Turner went on Dr. Phil and is now mocking scam medical products.

PLEASE STOP RESPONDING TO THIS ASSHOLE.  Dismissing is an option!

You’d like to believe that you’d act differently but trauma is a fucked up thing and you have absolutely NO idea what you would do until it happens to you.  Please stop second-guessing this poor woman.

Black women. They were women.

This shit is shades of Chikatilo.  Christ.

God forbid a couple of old white fucks don’t find a sports star attractive.  GOD FORBID.

Eat the rich.

While I am sympathetic to this take, it is not correct.  Any person has the ability to ask for their trial to be moved if there’s a bunch of publicity in the area or a substantial risk of a super prejudiced jury.

I’m fine with what the brother chose to do.  It’s his pain and he has the right to make this choice.  I have a big problem with the Judge doing the same thing. And like, everyone else involved.

Christ on a crutch, has there ever been a better example of white woman tears than this?  The entire courtroom stops so that the white woman WHO MURDERED A MAN can be comforted?  FUCK.

I also want to be clear that this is different from people who are working terrible, difficult jobs for minimum wage because they don’t have any other options.  There’s labor and there’s labor.

You can also spend $1000 of your own money buying stuff with Amway to jumpstart your MLM career, so I don’t know if your differentiation holds up.

That was intentional.

I love the idea that these people are making commercials like, on spec.  Marketing folks must be so pleased.

I figure it’s akin to being involved in an MLM. Yes, it’s a ton of work to “start your own business,” but it doesn’t change the fact that you are spinning your wheels, wasting extraordinary amounts of time and money for nothing.  MAYBE you can get enough followers to make a go of it, but you probably won’t.  It’s all

I didn’t say it wasn’t a job, just not a real job.

I agree.  And therefore, it isn’t valuable, useful, necessary, or helpful.

I can confidently say that I have never attempted to be an influencer.  And yet, here I am, saying that I don’t think it’s a real job.  Does it involve work?  Yes.  Does it involve making money?  Yes.  But is it valuable, useful, helpful, or necessary?  No.

He’s Finnish, he has his own vodka already.
