There’s a place for everything and Mamma Mia!’s place is to make me happy with its crappy.

I’m super emotional most of the time and this trailer didn’t help. I can’t make it through the scene in Mamma Mia! where Meryl helps her daughter get ready for her wedding without bawling, and thinking about her being gone for whatever reason... Yeah anyway, I will watch this and I will not care if it sucks.
I always thought Harry was cuter.
THAT WAS A MISTAKE WHY DID YOU SUGGEST THAT I DO THAT.
I can’t imagine literally growing up with Jezebel. Are we still going to be doing this when we are legitimately old?
It really does. Thanks for noticing!
I was working at a specialty vet office in the oncology department, taking phone calls from people whose dogs or cats (or pig) had just been diagnosed with cancer. It was sad af.
OMG, that series made me so happy, I never had friends to talk books with as a kid and it was so great to do that as an adult.
A relative of mine had identical twins after something like 10 years of fertility treatments. If I remember correctly, she was on the final round of IVF that they could afford and got pregnant. The chances were incredibly small that it would work but the kids are two now and doing great.
I won twice! I can’t remember for what, though. I’m going to try to figure this out...
I have never had the honor of Dodai’s ire, but the prohibition opened my eyes a lot to how prevalent body shaming is and was, and I changed my personal behavior regarding it. I have never regretted it.
As an old-timer, I get to do things like reminisce about the Early Days of Jezebel, before Kinja and trolls and back when Slut Machine was Slut Machine, Good, Bad, Ugly was a thing, and there was a pioneering prohibition against body-shaming.
I forget they’re a thing immediately after I read they’re a thing. Their thingdom is the gift that keeps on giving!
I was targeted last year by a poster who dredged up my old comments about being the victim of abuse in order to harass me about something or other. I couldn’t believe someone had the time and energy to read something I wrote, then look back through months and months and months of posts to get information he thought…
He probably negotiated his contract to include a “for cause” provision that defines cause specifically in a way that excludes prior bad acts.
He bought the truck with cash, so he didn’t finance anything with the dealership. The dealership then took his credit information and put it into a financing contract that they took out in his name. The dealership got paid twice, he got charged twice, for the same truck.
So to be clear, his point is that people that forcing someone to watch you jerk off is shameful and gross, but nothing else, right? It isn’t criminal, it isn’t actionable, it is just sad and icky.
So do protestant/evangelical women, though.
