Chevy even had a 267 V8 (also referred to as a 4.4 liter), as evidenced by my 79 Malibu during high school. Definitely a dog, and something I’d consider “small”.  But arguably huge if you managed to shoehorn it into a Pao.  :)

David, as much as I love your tales of determination and madness interspersed with self-depreciation, I’m afraid this one is just too far gone. I’d hate to see a news story detailing how a Michigan man died on an ill-fated trip to Utah, causing all within 20 miles at the time of his death to instantly become

The company I work for has several private planes for flying install teams out and bringing in prospective clients.  They’re all around 10 passenger - 11 if you sit someone in the happy seat.  When I traveled frequently, I’d do my best to claim that seat because I knew there was a good chance I’d need it.  Usually

I laughed at this as only someone with a history of IBS and a previous job that frequently had me on airplanes can.  Meaning a combination of hilarity and abject terror.

I have wanted an SX/4 for a long, long time. My brain knows that objectively, they’re really not a good car. It’s an AMC, duh. The build quality was horrible. While durable if not abused, the Iron Duke certainly was no powerhouse. I have a family member who had an Eagle back in the day and it reportedly spent more

Came to post this, left sad because someone beat me to it.

I had a 91 Storm. Except for the blown head gasket, which I’m sure was due to previous owner neglect, it was a great car. It didn’t have a lot of power, but it weighed next to nothing and the 5-speed was geared really low. It’s preferred cruising speed was 60 MPH - mileage went down quite a bit at 70. But everyday

Came here looking for a Coneheads reference, left happy.

I wish I could provide 1 billion stars to this comment.

I would take it in a heartbeat if it was being given away......and promptly pull the 6.0 and Tremec to put in something else. Then I’d part out anything still useful in the shell and scrap what was left.  Jalop gonna Jalop.

Well - are you eating American “streaky” bacon or proper British bacon?  My father in law makes a wonderful British bacon in his smoker, and I wouldn’t dream of adulterating that with syrup.

Bacon is best when paired with waffles or pancakes.  That allows bacon to be dipped in its natural partner - maple syrup.  As God intended it.

No more talking for you.

Several years back I test drove a late 80's S-10 that had a 283 swapped in. It wasn’t a crazy hopped up build, just a mild cam. There was a light rain that day...and oh yeah, it was a lot of fun. Should have bought that truck.....

4th Gear: Michigan And The United Kingdom To Work Together On Self-Driving Cars

Until a few years ago, I thought I had driven some pretty great cars, at least for what I could afford. I had 79 MG Midget in high school and a 79 280zx in college. Both manuals, of course. Loads of fun to drive and pretty cool for what they were.

Oh that V8 Vega wagon 4 speed......so Much WANT!!!!

All of the stars in the universe for this!

Also have to count the Pontiac Grand Prix and Chevy Malibu Classic. I am partial to the El Camino though. :)
