I’m all for letting Darwinism win that game, unfortunately all these careless fucks will end up clogging the health system and prevent more reasonable fucks from getting access for other, less easily preventable, health issues.

We’re all eager for this shit to be over, but here is the problem: This shit ain’t over.
Tool of choice: Sawzall. I wonder if it would have been harder just to transplant the drivetrain and leave the rest stock? This is a fun idea but the wheels are awful and the arches are just amateurish. And, maybe I'm being an elitist here but what the hell, about what I would expect from a company that purposely…
I know it’s nitpicking, but is anyone else repulsed by the wheel arches being incredibly different?
There are actually full EV type haul trucks.
A mine in Switzerland uses them. They have a unique situation where the mine is at high altitude and needs to be taken to low altitude,so the trucks are charging the batteries while taking the load downhill, and that gives them enough charge to get back to the top again.
*Edite…
It likely makes sense for many backhoe type projects. Most of them need high hydralic flow to operate the booms and power use comes in spikes as you are digging in or lifting. Generally not huge power overall and they can be somewhat heavy.
Working on a construction site listening to a roaring diesel and breathing exhaust all day long this is an improvement.
Or more unions.
I think all the “essential” workers are going to start asking if they are so essential in times of disaster, why do they make so little and get treated so poorly.
Jack, everyone can line up and get injected with bleach and put UV light inside their lungs and be cured. I don’t see what points you are trying to make here
There’s a reason that unions developed in the first place. While they may not be necessary when the times are good, they can be critical to workers when times are not.
I spent most of yesterday texting 2 different Hyundai dealers because I was interested in a Hyundai Pallisade. The first went for 4 hours and after hour 2 I wondered if I talking to a bot. I was assured I was not, it was a real person. Dealer responses were one liners, obviously from a script and they refused or…
Small denominators lead to crazy percentage changes. Low population.
I do think business travel will drop. I have, more than once, had my company fly me from LA to Boston for a 5-hour meeting that could’ve happened on the phone.
I don’t drive one myself, but I don’t begrudge others their choices, nor do I feel it is my right to decide what others need in a vehicle.
Second guess an Architect? Oh yes. Civil engineer? Quite a bit less.
Team cycle fenders! The big swoopies always look so awkward and weird. Leave them in the past.
I’ve heard of transverse FR being done aftermarket by welding the center differential in an Evo.
Being somewhat pragmatic and having worked for a while as the IT manager at a large Ad agency how about this scenario.
12 variations of drivetrain placement within the chassis. Engine type and transmission type are irrelevant.
