Agreed. Not to mention that success in most of these race classes now is entirely dependent upon what allowances the organizers will grant your car to make it competitive, coupled with your budget to exploit those allowances.

McLaren made a big deal out of the fact that the two motors have a different block. But the only real difference in the block was that the P1 has an integrated electric motor.
