I learned something
With the exception of the last six digits of the VIN, that window-sticker was almost certainly printed by a band-style line printer. We had lots of computers in 1978 - my high-school did their timetables and marks etc. on a computer. Auto manufacturers started using them in the 1960's.
The Ford double-edged keys only use one edge. The good part is that if you had two Fords, you could use one key - cut one side for each car. The bad part is owning two Fords.
