Okay I can agree on that, he did lower his eyes a little and right as Rodgers threw the ball. I guess he could have tried more to not land directly on him as well. At the same time Rodgers could have done something more to protect himself as well. Not scramble as much, throw the ball earlier, or simply just go down on

You’d be correct if it was anywhere other than the endzone. In the endzone once you have possession and you’re over the line then it’s a TD. He doesn’t have to land inside. Plus being that the call on the field was a TD there would have to be overwhelming evidence to overturn, which there wasn’t because it’s unclear

Jets got absolutely screwed. I’m surprised no one is mentioning that it was ruled a TD on the field so that means any reversal needs overwhelming evidence that something else happened. Seferian-Jenkins clearly bobbles the ball slightly, but it is completely unclear when he reclaims full possession because he’s turned

Oh my someone that actually knows the rules!? You’re a unicorn my friend.

Except Barr never lowered his head nor left his feet like a spear. Hits like what you described I completely agree with and feel you’re spot on, it just doesn’t apply here. His face gets smashed up against Rodger’s shoulder but he’s not looking down, he’s actually making a text book tackle. His feet also don’t leave

Two hand touch!? You can’t be serious. The thought is ridiculous and would completely nullify players like Aaron Rodgers who excel at getting away from on rushing defenders. Defensive players are NOT trying to hit the QB as hard as they can, that just shows you have no experience in the game. Hitting as hard as they

Well said. That’s exactly it, it’s a completely legal hit. What separates this hit from a roughing the passer call is completely suggestive due to all the reasons you just said. No helmet to helmet, no spear, he wrapped him up properly, yada yada. It was a completely textbook tackle.

You’re not understanding that there is no solution. Sports carry risks. Ugh PLEASE let go of the “take off the pads” crap. You apparently do not know that when the sport was first played, players didn’t wear helmets and that helmets were invented because players literally died on the field? So no, taking off the pads

Where is it that the NFL encourages their star players to get injured? That’s just absurd.

I agree, all sports carry risks. You can get injured playing golf!

It’s because this article is pointless. Sports comes with risks. All players understand and accept the risks of the sports they play. It’s as simple as that. All the NFL can do is mitigate the unnecessary stuff like leading with the helmet.

As much as I hate to admit it, but Tom Brady is a diamond in the rough. It is highly unlikely that the backup player to a star will be better than the star player. That just lends itself to this stupid article. Teams, fans, the league, hate when players get injured, no one wants to see their star players injured

This is the most pointless article! Sports come with risks and every player knows and accepts them, otherwise they wouldn’t play the sport. There can never be a distinction between legal hits and roughing the passer because it’s up to interpretation (I’m talking about textbook tackling, not leading the helmet hits).

I thought the same. I’ve been with GEICO for years and every few years I’ll get quotes from other companies and GEICO is still cheaper, sometimes by as much as $300, it’s nuts. It helps that GEICO also drops my rate every year or so as well.

Yes I agree with this to a point. Everyone insurance company is different. Their expenses, financial stability, size, even the features they offer with their policies is all different. Don’t forget I’m sure they account for how much of a hassle they give you for a claim. Like if company A gets an agent out there super

That’s really strange. They will typically refund you the amount of the item you bought, not anything more.

In my new place I’ve had maybe 4 packages now delivered next door (their door is feet away thankfully). It’s hard to understand how you can mix up 2 different numbers though.

I had this problem with USPS too at my old apartment. I’d be home and waiting for my package, only to get a delivery attempted notification and no note on the door. Nothing at all, they really didn’t even attempt to ring the doorbell.

I had a good discussion yesterday with a friend who proclaimed that society and America is racist, based on the past housing policies, laws, recent events, etc. I countered saying that America is no longer racist (sure there are racist people, but as a whole the country is not racist), it was for sure at one point,

LOL ummm actually it does make him right because he created it. Plus hard Gs usually precedes a,o, and u while soft Gs usually precede i, e, y. So it’s very normal to pronounce it as JIF.
