I just bout a Nikkon J1, which didn't make the cut, but it was only 200 dollars. I am really happy with it. That being said, i really wanted the NEX.

Assuming they were Indian and not what, Sri Lankan is the only real racist thing here.

I'm using a 2008 macbook that is still going strong despite my wanting it not to. I really want a new computer but since this one is working so well after 5 years I can't. Well I probably will later this year.

I live in a tiny apartment in LA, that was featured here actually. Anyway, having a well layedout floor plans helps a whole lot to begin with. My parent own my apartment so I redid walls and kitchens because I could. Beyond that I think having furniture that pulls double duty with storage is a must. Additionally

Ikea used to sell a towel holder that was basically just a piece of wood with 3 holes. I love it! Since its just friction and pressure holding the towel in, when you need to use it, you just pull it out. I bought an extra one just because they were being discontinued.

WEIGHT!! I will not even consider a laptop that weighs more than 4lbs anymore.

Yeah that's fine. I understand that its a slow process, not a huge deal. My old nook color, will charge over night, so I'm okay with that.

Yeah, like the nook color will charge using a standard micro usb port. It doesn't require a power brick, which is one of the things I dislike the most about my Toshiba Thrive, and part of why I don't use it as much. The Touchpad too charges with just a micro usb port, and so does the nexus 7. However there are a slew

I totally agree with you. Routers should are one of those techs that should be out of the way. After setting it up once, you should never have to think about it again.

I actually have a related question to this. There are loads of well reviewed cheap android tablets. My issue is that I can't find one that will charge from the micro usb. So anyone? A sub 200 dollar android tablet that will charge through the micro usb?

I'll be going to my first European trip in April. I'd like to take my old phone with me, since if I lose it, it wont be a great lost. My question is, is it better to buy one of those international sims before leaving or just getting one when I arrive. The thing complicating things is that I'll be in 3 different

HAHA! Yes, lots of the tweaks are on the dock, and that's one of them.

I haven't done a clean install of my macosx install in like 6 years. The best part is that for the most part some of my really random, slightly esoteric, tweaks have stayed from OS upgrades to upgrade.

I never understood the need for these, but then again I only get about 20 emails a day, and have no problem just reading them all when they arrive. I also don't delete emails, I back them up, because more often than not there is something I'll need from them much later on. I've sort of taken the gmail mentality of

I'm on t-mobile's 30 dollar plan with unlimited data (5gb at 4g) and have a hard time reaching 1gb a month. I think the most I've used was 750mb one month when we had a two day power outage and so it became my sole internet connection.

I really really hate gimp. I rather use paint.net or one of the online editing tools.

A Wrinkle In Time by Madeline L'Engle has been a HUGE influence in my life. The idea that intelligence is good, that there are many things to explore, that being a good person can make things better for everyone. Its good stuff, and for 11 year old me it was a revelation that I still hold dear.

You should sell these!

Er in California you've been able to make an appointment online for a long long time now, I'd say almost 10 years now. I've been doing it for years and it always saves LOADS of time. Just the last time I went to the DMV I want to say I waited about 15 minutes, got seen before people who have obviously been waiting
