The newest gripe with IE, since we're forced to use it at work, is the whole compatibility view. We were forced to use IE 6 because it was the only way to get access some sites, and now in ie 7/8/9 we can't even access some of these sites because they are unusable, and the compatibility view only works about 30…
I really don't have any problem paying sales taxes on stuff. I almost sort of wish that Amazon had been doing it for a while now.
"Cheap satellite speakers often have keyhole mounting slots, which are not compatible with mounting brackets. (You can just drive a screw into the wall and mount your speaker on that—but it's not ideal.)"
Great tip! I'll have to start doing that. I basically live inside google calendar as my job is research coordinator.
I always do this. I'm also extra paranoid, since I heard some systems use thermo cameras to see which keys are warmer, by putting my finger on numbers not on in my pin, but not actually pushing the button.
Blah. I really should start writing my questions down. I always feel like during the week I have tons of questions, but then the day comes and blam, can't remember a single one. I know there is an OT all the time but that one doesn't seem to get much traffic.
Not starred here but on a bunch of other gawker sites, and the thumbs up icon is pretty hit or miss for me. I always try it first, and then do a reply to promote if it doesn't work.
I'm going to second the tumblr suggestion. They even have some standard themes designed just for photo blogs. Its super easy to use. My only real gripe with the service is that to get the most out of it you need to tag stuff, and sometimes the window to tag is no where in view.
But, I like wearing glasses. They are very much a part of my identity having wore them since I was 9 years old.
I'm really looking for something that is system wide like on iOS where you can get a keyboard that shows up anywhere to let you input the emoji.
As someone who just ruined another pair of glasses, I want to echo this sentiment. Us nerds need a little help here.
The wood and leather chair? Its an Eames lounge chair. Probably a reproduction, as the real ones sell for almost 5k.
So how do i get emoji on my android phone? I still haven't quite figured that out.
This is really sad because I still use their meebo messenger on a daily basis, and have no idea why they decided to go in this direction with their business.
Its a great site. If you check show expired deals, you'll see there has been plenty of 300 dollar laptops in the last month. If you can hold out, something will probably show up with in the next week or two.
I was just about to post this. Plus I was going to ask life hacker to verify our votes based on their tracking of resolutions.
Depending on complexity you can get a surprisingly nice website completed through iWeb on a mac or have access to one. Or, yeah, just do a nice wordpress theme. If you have a logo and colors picked you are half way there with a theme.
You could probably find a real laptop for that much money.
