The new font is much better with the exception of the 4. Not loving the unclosed 4, especially in the string of numbers. But besides that its an improvement in every way.

It has nothing to do with "sanitizing" the water. People don't think tap water is dirty, they don't like the flavor. Chlorine, and other chemicals are added to keep it potable. Plus. While, the city may have perfectly fine pipes up to your house, an old house might have some pretty nasty pipes the water comes in on.
Quicklook is really the killer feature for me. I can't really live without it now. I find myself hitting the space bar to preview a document on windows machines out of habit, abd being super sad when nothing happens.
I remember OX Beta. Those were the days! It was so buggy. I even remember that some guy from apple came to talk to our apple users club at college (all 12 of us) and during the demo like 10 UI bugs showed up. "We're working on that" he'd always say. Well Its been a pleasure to use OS X. Still my OS of choice.
I thought this was going to be about suffering through 1998 era web design, and I was going to make a quip about how I'm still suffering through it on craiglist.org
NO!!!!!!!!!
Its only available to star commentors. I don't have a star on LH but i have one on giz, io9, and the main gawker site. But when you get a star on a gawker site, you see a thumbs up icon next to comments that you can use to promote comments.
Use the thumbs up icon next to reply arrow.
Haha. Indeed. Part of the not providing info was that most of them are taken.
Surrounded my be a bit of an over statement. Most of them don't live anywhere near me. The real point I was trying to make is that a good lucking nerdy girl is not nearly as rare as everyone seems to think.
Interesting. I got my copy yesterday, and first thought to myself, oh they got a model. Then thought, "No, its Wired, this is probably a bad ass nerd girl." And then didn't give it a second thought. Maybe its because I know plenty, and I mean plenty of nerdy, beautiful, awesome girls, that it didn't really seem odd to…
If B&N made some minor upgrades to the nook color, and sold it with an unaltered (except for the B&N app of course) for 300 bones, it would do incredibly well. It just needs a clever name, maybe keeping the nook name. Nook+ or @Nook or Nook Android. As it is now, they have a gold mine with the Nook Color. It's easily…
The worst part of all this, is that the nuclear reactor has taken the spot light from all the millions of Japanese that are actually suffering right now, from the cold, lack of shelter, lack of food and water. Its a tragedy that is happening RIGHT NOW, not might happen tomorrow.
While I do not want an ipad. I do long to have ios on my nook color. Frankly, android is not great. As Matt points out, design and easy of use does matter. And when you're my tablet, I'm not looking for it to be a computer to do everything. I'm looking at it to do a few things really well, and just work. While I…
This is a fantastic point. I recently got a nook color (though i guess really I want [but have zero need for] an iPad2) and really android is crap. Or well 2.X is crap for tablets, but this is really due to the fact that everything in the market is designed for a 3.5in screen. Maybe once the 3.0 actually comes out,…
Yeah, I'm on tmobile, though most unlocked gsm phone works. I'm not on contract, so I pay in full for whatever phone I use.
Definitely. Coast IRB was shut down, at least. We use an institutional IRB instead of a central one, and our IRB is tons more picky and diligent when reviewing protocols.
Thanks for this! As a research coordinator I have to explain the different phases to people all the time
