Nevermind, I just realized that it’s probably going to work like the currency in uplay. Some achievements award points which you can then use in the item shop. You never see any of these points ingame, all of the transactions are made separately in your browser or the game launcher.
It sounds like you can buy all the stuff also via ingame currency, so unless they got creative with protecting values that are stored in memory, you could just try to use something like cheat engine to increase your money and then use that to bypass the item shop.
If you are talking about the general mindset unrelated to the game, then I think it’s more straightforward than you make it out to be. I really like to see people getting worked up over things I don’t have strong feelings towards or consider otherwise unimportant. Making sure that people lose in a game, generally…
Did you try to search for the Great Valley after your parents died?
I bought Stomping Land together with three other friends when it was in early access. I remember having quite a lot of fun exploring the island and figuring out the somewhat broken game mechanics.
Alright, for the sake of the discussion I’ll go with your example.
I would lose by cheating, so I’d probably wouldn’t even bother to play it to begin with, since it’s not worth the effort. If, for whatever reason, I couldn’t just walk away, then I’d just continue to cheat. The new ruleset actually makes it more…
That’s not how the game works, which makes it pointless to talk about it.
I never noticed that corvo is wearing a hood, I always thought that the mask just looks like that.
If we are talking about this game losing means ending up with less than you had before. I always cheat, and if the the other player cooperates at least once he lost. Worst case, none of us cooperates, we end up with the same we had before. Fine for me too since I actively prevented the other player from winning.

I get the impression that we are talking about two different things here. ‘To that end, I always cheat’ was referring to my strategy in this specific game, not in life overall.
Let’s talk about the real issue here - what’s the best strategy to win against everybody else? I try to follow the three main principles of my life
- It’s not important to win
- What IS important is to make sure that everybody else loses
- Try to avoid an overall loss
To that end, I always cheat. I start with one coin and…
Simply apply enough force when inserting the can.
This kinda strikes me as being less of a “cool bonus for dedicated fans, so make it the best we can” and more of a “got that item off the marketing checklist, just two more and I reached the 85% I need for my bonus this year”.
I came here to say exactly that. I kinda like the design of both the collectors and the new armor, but the form of the helmet and the general insect-shell like design make them look really similar.
I want noobtoob back :(
Could you elaborate on that? I didn’t like mega man back in the day, so I didn’t really follow the drama around MN9, but I thought that the reason why people got upset was that the gameplay was just not very good.
Your comment made me aware that I honestly never considered the possibility that he wouldn’t come back. It wasn’t even some snarky self aware “Ha, you can’t fool ME, I know he’s coming back!”, thing.
It’s the Boars. They are the worst enemy in this game. I have no issues single handedly storming castles bursting with bandits, raiding vampire dens or spelunking caves lurking with whatever lovecraftian horror there might be.
