Other than missing an even more specific disclaimer about being extra careful keeping documentation of Crazy Boss' activities (remember that lady with the emails?), I'd agree with most of this.

Looks comfy but I would burn to death not being able to vent heat from my ears/temples.

I would love to play with this but there's two things stopping me. 1) There doesn't seem to be much custom ROM support for my Droid X, and 2) I don't actually know of many good ROMs other than CM7.

I "switched" from stock rooted Verizon Froyo (after practically a one-night stand with leaked rooted Gingerbread) to CyanogenMod. I am happy with this.

@ProudTSUalum Only until more people collectively read your article on other sites.

Good lord there's a lot of scripts in the script gallery. And they all look boring as hell.

It's free, it's secure, it's permanent. It's a "set it and forget it" solution. "Dozens" of steps is a small (one-time) price to pay for this extra functionality, if it's something you've been looking for. If everyone thought the way you do, there would be no such thing as "apps" or "computers".

True. Still, after a few hours last night and this morning I am now happily running CyanogenMod 7.1.0 RC0. Not for the purists though. Getting the camera/video and Swype to function requires some extra work and is still not perfect. For my personal taste though, the pros outweight the cons ATM.

I just want a regular screwdriver (read: not a drill), regular size, swappable bits, with a couple front facing LEDs and a toggle button. That would be endlessly useful.

Report back with results pls.

I was about to complain about how I'm always super disappointed when cool stuff like this is accomplished with Cyanogen, which has no official build for my Droid X. However apparently there is finally (read: FINALLY) a decent looking release candidate for me.

I do the crunchuweesy at my local Taco Hell as well.

This is what the internet has done to us.

I don't know about you but I wasn't the one who installed all the screws in my house.

Not saying this is the case, but here's a thought experiment: What if everyone on earth decided to simply stop consuming copyrighted material (both legally and illegally). Assume for a moment that there is simply NO more interest in it. The copyright holders would immediately assume everyone is pirating (even though

Touché.

It's sad that this is necessary.

I was referring to anaglyph red/blue 3D. Any monitor will work.

You can play tons of games in 3D, right now... on PC. Oh wait.
