Not sure I’m sold on the durability of the premise, but it has a darn good quotient of people involved who are on my ‘have to give a chance, if only for them’ list. With the people involved, there is going to have to be one heck of a stumbling block for this not to do well.
At this point it is not unreasonable for one to expect people voicing strong opinions, particularly regarding complex matters involving assessments of inner motivations as in this case, to have a degree of fluency in the matter sufficient to dispense with foundational elements.
