I just bought a high mileage rust Legacy beater... for $700.  Runs, drives great.  Looks awful.  But so does this bimmer.

Is it a good deal? Probably. Is a finicky german super sedan with a propensity to self destruct tires and engine components something I’d buy?  Probably not.  Coming up on that magic 100k mark where you need a fresh service of EVERYTHING.. you’re going to rack up a mammoth bill on top of a significant purchase price.
