OK, I listen to podcasts pretty much constantly so allow me to geek out for a minute.

Yes ma’am it does. I used to be an avid reader (I’d clock in at least 100 books a year on my Goodreads Challenge). Since I started my new job in 2015 I read about a third of that each year. Also, my patience for people in general has decreased a lot because of how emotionally taxing my job can be.
Does your job affect your mental health and vice-versa?
Criminal handles some really interesting crime stories beyond the usual murder fare I’ve seen most other true crime podcasts cover. Example: I just listened to an episode about a rare book thief who can’t be stopped, and before that was an episode involving southern murder ballads.
