Well the POV is different but third person shooter games are mechanically identical to first person games, so there is no reason NOT to use keyboard+mouse. The Mouse is still the preferred aiming device in shooting games that involve an aiming reticle.

People film stuff on portrait all the time on youtube. Sorry if they aren't technically proficient enough with their phone camera to film it in landscape for your convenience. There's also a ton of people that don't properly white balance their photos or shoot blurry photos or shoot photos in too low of light.

Exactly. Mako gets a bad rep only because there were so many boring side missions for it. As a vehicle, it is very capable and handles quite well. It's able to scale impossible slopes and terrain, super durable, has jump rockets and wields a big cannon. What's to hate about it?
