At least some of them also come in with a $1 app/music credit from Amazon. So they're not just free, Amazon pays you to get them.

Yeah, I do think that some developers eventually just give up on the Amazon Appstore, and just stop issuing updates there. And, there has been some past evidence that Amazon makes it very difficult for a developer to actually REMOVE an app and just go on selling it in the Google Play store.
You've forgotten the old stand by...YouTube. I've found tons of old and obscure full length movies and TV shows on there.
This is very true for Plex. I got it free and then ended up buying it on Play Store. I'm just going to assume that their updates aren't exactly frivolous.
This is true, but if you're talking about apps that get frequently updates, keep in mind that the Amazon Appstore is supposedly curated, and app updates have to get checked by Amazon before they'll post to users. So, sometimes the devs don't post updates, but other times they're just delayed by Amazon.
We're finally starting to see some really great deals on the new Samsung 850 EVO SSDs. [Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD, $100]
Free temporary storage is not that good of a thing, unless you would actually pay for that storage today.

there's a feedback option on both ends. users who mis-use the service are kicked from it.
Pitch Perfect is actually $12.99 to buy. It's only $2.99 to rent.
I bought one last month when they had the $199 deal, this is even better.

Just did a chat session with Amazon, they're going to refund me $50. Kudos, Amazon!
TVTrigger works great when it works. Pros: has all the shows I want, automatically downloads no-commercial 720p episodes automatically a day after they air live. Cons: sometimes it just doesn't even try downloading them when I know they've aired (because my WMC recorded them successfully).
It really depends what you're going to use the server for. Personally, I have a server that doubles as an HTPC and a Minecraft server. I run Windows 7 on it with Windows Media Player, a CableCard-equipped TV tuner, TVTrigger, and lots of network shared directories. Though, since it's hooked up to my living room TV, if…
Well, at least we got five of 'em.
This software isn't made for illegal files. Comic book archive files have been around for a long time, mostly by people scanning and digitizing their own private collections back in the 90's, before e-comics was even a thing, and looking for a way to flip through them sequentially while still compressed. Not to…
