A. The Crown would look much better without such ridiculously large wheels.

Keeping in mind some of the vertical space is taken up by the battery pack, I’m not positive many Americans would fit inside a low-roofed mini-Jeep EV which is smaller than a Chevy Trax and feel safe.

An $80K CUV with the appearance and range of a $40K CUV, and from a brand Average Joe car owner’s never heard of. Yeah, Polestar will print money for sure /s

To future proof this:

Lack of interest in fixing existing infrastructure can be blamed in part to continued residential and commercial suburbanization of affluent residents who increasingly avoid visiting central cities all-together. This makes it more politically and economically attractive for state officials to accommodate their needs

The Wagoneer S’s smaller size gives Stellantis an opportunity to bow to the increasing pressure to retire the Grand Cherokee name.

It may be hard for buyers to associate the CUV bodystyle with RWD. Also many people in the snowbelt are allergic to RWD.

You can add any Mazda where until recently, Sport” was the name given for their base trim.

With high demand plus low new car inventory, The used car market will get even worse for the next couple of years. The inventory of used cars will continue to age with higher miles and more maintenance issues as people put off new car purchases until their old beaters are about to fall apart.

Bring back the Stanza (Altima) wagon!

“Other equally shocking news: water is wet, the Sun rises in the East, the Moon orbits the Earth.”

Close. The Rogue Sport is the Euro Qashqai which was also sold as the 1st Gen Rogue in the U.S.. When Nissan decided to transition the formerly rugged X-Trail to a grocery getter, the X-Trail became the larger 2nd Gen Rogue in the U.S. while the Rogue Sport/Qashqai became the spiritual successor to the 1st Gen Rogue.

As other states announce similar bans on ICE sales, most automakers will put the kibosh on manufacturing ICE all-together in anticipation; meaning any delays in implementing the bans due to infrastructure, affordability, or supply constraints will result in total chaos and a possible industry shakeup. Automakers like

Semis are legally limited to around 40K pounds of weight (at least when I can recall from managing purchase orders). Batteries taking up a large percentage of the truck’s empty weight will reduce what each truck can legally carry which means more trips will be needed to carry the same quantity of goods.

Based on past comments about the Flex, the general consensus is that men love them but women hated them. There were many comments from husbands who loved the Flex’s combination of style and practicality but were overruled by their wives who wouldn’t be caught dead inside one. Probably helped Explorer sales, though.

Besides a boatload of Teslas, a rapidly growing population of Chevy Bolts, and the occasional Leaf, Mach E, or ID.4, I’ve seen very few EVs in my neck of the Ohio woods. Maybe a couple of EV6's, Ioniq 5's, and I-Pace’s but no Rivians, Polestars, etc.... that I’ve noticed.

They’d have to pay big money to import or desalinize their water, though?

Most of the right-leaning readers who are only interested in cars and not the politics or dealing with the “grays” nonsense (like how no one except the author will ever read this comment) have moved on to other websites.

Won’t be surprised of an X’er created this meme. X’ers were raised on anti-government/conspiratorial rhetoric and because they were largely ignored, are full of resentment. Plus, X’ers basically grew up watching Trump pretend to be a tycoon on celebrity shows and The Apprentice.

Amazing how increasingly vulnerable new cars are to cosmetic damage with their virtually non-existent bumpers and exposed key components like lights and sensors. The Celestiq takes this to another level where even a minor parking lot bump may inflict five figures worth of damage.
