There is a product called DiscSox ([www.mmdesign.com]) that will store all of the components of the DVD or CD into a small sleeve. Great for saving space. The only problem is the cost. Even the discounted DVD sleeves they are offering on their site now add up to big bucks for a large collection.

In Mihai's macro script ? brings up the help page. Although, it doesn't seem to display everything at least on my display.

While we were sitting around for the past couple of days monitoring the encroaching fires here in San Diego, the wife and I put together a list of items to grab in case of evacuation. I created the list in Google Docs (spreadsheet) that way we can both collaborate on it and move stuff around in order of priority.

I'll 2nd (or 3rd) the vote for RoyalTS... great little app for RDP connections only. It lets me manage dozens of connections fairly easily... plus the "Royale with Cheese" icon is too cool. ;-)

I tried the java version on my Sprint Mogul but didn't care for it too much (I might give it another shot though. Right now it isn't officially supported, but there are ways to get it to work on teh Mogul). I've been using the regular web Gmail interface fairly successfully (with Opera Mobile, much better than Pocket

I've been using eWallet from www.iliumsoft.com (first on Palm and now on WinMobile) for a long time. It is very flexible and has templates for many common things (websites, passwords, bank info, etc). Like SplashID it isn't free, but worth checking out.

I sign my cards and then put "See ID" next to the sig... not that it does any good, I think I get about 1 out of 10 people asking for an ID. Like others, I had a transaction rejected at a post office because I didn't have a sig, just a "See ID" on the back of my credit card.

Another app to look at for Windows is reSizer ([zestant.googlepages.com]). it offers similar features, plus multi-monitor support (well, at least for two monitors.

WinMerge is indeed a great app. Although it is not free, I've been using Ultra Compare (companion product to Ultra Edit) for a few years now. It is loaded with features, one of which is a way cool three-way (minds out of the gutter ;-) compare. I bought the lifetime upgrade option for the combo Ultra Edit & Ultra

Although it isn't freeware, I've used ClipMate for several years ([www.thornsoft.com]). Great little app with tons of clipboard related features: virtually limitless history (if choose to do so), a safe list for items you paste frequently, keyboard shortcuts for everything, auto-formatting, etc.

Although it doesn't have any preset sizes as an option, I've used reSizer quite a bit for my multi-monitor setups. It allows me to shift windows around and resize them with the keyboard, very quickly. Here's a list of the commands available to give you an idea: [zestant.googlepages.com]

I forget exactly when I found out about this trick, but it is super handy and has worked at least since the introduction of Windows 2000.

For my setup I use a combination of Multimonitor Taskbar and reSizer ([zestant.googlepages.com]) which let's me shoot windows back and forth between monitors as well as resize them quite easily.

Gmail already includes an option to create an event from an email. Check the "More actions" drop down menu. I haven't tried this GM script yet, but perhaps it adds some further capabilities.

I've been using [YourGmap.com] to something similar for some time now. I've been house hunting for a while and I have a map that I use to track houses that I need to look at. YourGmap allows some pretty cool options, so I also have some notes and color coded house icons to let me see at a glance which ones I've

Just remember that 73.5% of all statistics are false. ;-)

Since I subscribe to quite a few mailing lists, I have labels for each one and filters to place the posts into these "folders" for easy viewing (and keeping the inbox clear). I rarely use labels for anything other than auto-filtering mail into pseudo folders since search works so nicely. I use stars very, very rarely

I hate having to carry all of those club cards, so I typically sign up for them using a fake phone number (don't want to give the telemarketing companies anything useful) and place a list of the club cards and their associated fake phone number in a memo on my cell phone. I suppose I could just use one fake phone
