I wish, but some of them are Republicans, so they would point out that there’s not a quorum (sigh, I wish we had 51 women in the Senate). Can’t do shit at that point unless you compel the attendance of absent members, assuming the snow isn’t a legitimate excuse.

The male equivalent is food. The next time you have to hear a dude be all moody and angry, ask him if he’s eaten yet. No matter what he says, remind him that he gets This Way when he hasn’t had enough to eat.

Naturally. When you want a job to get done - always call one of us women. Men are pussies.

I’d considering showing up to work when you’re a Member of Congress to be that heavy lifting you’re referring to, especially when dudes have been in control for decades.

See that’s how we ladies feel about the male leadership and participation in Congress on all the non-snow days.

If you lied and told the dudes not to come to work because the ladies were cleaning up the Senate chamber, I’m sure they’d stay home and sit on their wrinkly asses in front of the TV.

My husband is stronger and bigger than I am, yet I literally worked in circles around his ass scooping snow this weekend. If he spent dedicated the time he spent bitching to shoveling, we would have gotten done so much faster.

I wish that meant that they sat down, got a bunch of shit passed that the GOP would’ve fought against, and then all high-fived Tina Fey style.

This is pretty damning evidence of needing to work twice as hard as the boys to be taken seriously, since you’re twice as penalized for fucking up (and ignored twice as much for your contributions). It’s hard math, btw.

Because, being women, if they did not show up it would have been because they were “weak” or “disorganized” or “on their periods”.

And it was probably the most productive day the Senate has had in past year.

Fuck that, lock all the doors and change a bunch of laws while the puffy peacocks are still looking for their mittens. I wonder if it was the same story over at the Supreme Court and the House (probably would have heard about it).

Congress might get a lot more done if the men just stayed home, and votes could be counted on a simple majority (who’s actually there) rules basis. There would be serious talk about abortions, women’s rights and staying out of pointless wars if women were in the say.

I’m not replying directly to The Guy who gave a long sob story about how the women in his office didn’t ake it to work (He didn’t provide proof of any kind, just anecdote) and this somehow indicates this is just COINCIDENCE. @@

Man flu?

There are words in this comment, yet it is strangely incomprehensible.

One can only imagine what these women could achieve, hopefully they will lock and bar the doors and get things done. We need more women in politics!

I thought that’s what the guns were for.

oh my what a surprise /s

YASSSSS QUEENS, SLAAAAYYYYYY
