This might be a stupid suggestion, but wouldn't it be cool if a ruler app could use the phone's camera to measure an object? That could solve the whole "measuring objects longer than the iPhone's screen" in a more elegant fashion.

@gemcosta: According to Wikipedia, Mila Kunis isn't married to Macaulay Culkin, but they have been dating for a while.

The Discworld series has been one of my favourite fantasy series for a while now. Sir Terry deserves all the accolades that come his way, and I hope he finds a way to overcome Alzheimer's so that we can continue to be entertained for years to come.*

@ddhboy: The 3G iPad already has A-GPS.

Damn, this has to be the coolest augmented reality app out there right now (and this is after extensively using Google Goggles). I wonder if/when it will come to Android

@hardeho: Haha, fair enough. I'd recommend watching at least the first season. Heck, I'm not even from America (although I have spent a fair bit of time there) and didn't have too much interest in advertising before I started watching the show, and I find it hard to stop watching it!

@hardeho: Pretending to watch Mad Men?? The show is one of the best programs on TV now!

@earlyman: Hmm, I think she looks more like Scarlett and Elisha, but oh well.

@LdSe: Actually, yeah, she does look like her too. Hmmm...

@ecapox: In my opinion, the advantages of the Desire HD (bigger screen, better camera, more RAM) are mitigated by the fact that the Nexus One gets firmware upgrades first. That being said, the Desire HD does look pretty sweet.

Is it just me or does that blonde girl look like Scarlett Johansson?

My parents still use Nokia phones mainly because they're relatively easy to use, (relatively) cheap and fairly battery efficient with calls and texts. They don't really need to tweet, check Facebook, or play games on the go. (even though their phones can handle all that).

I'd like to say something here, but I'm afraid I'll get banned from the US in the future. :p

There is an option to make your status updates visible to friends only to prevent random strangers from misusing that information. I'm surprised that more people don't do that.

@L-Dani: Fair enough. I've never owned an N-Series phone, but my sister's N70 was fairly nicely built.

@L-Dani: Nokia's E-series handsets were usually made of metal/aluminium (the higher end ones anyway). My four year old E61 and my two year old E71 still work extremely well and are MUCH better built than comparable QWERTY keyboard smartphones (RIM, I'm looking at you).

@MazdaMania: Given Nokia's past track record of great phones, I think it'd be able to release a decent Android phone.

@xbabyjenx: The E71 was a great phone. If I had to choose between that and a BB, I'd definitely take the E71.

I used to own Nokia handsets only until I recently switched to the Nexus One. I would definitely switch back if Nokia started making Android phones. The company's hardware durability and quality are second to none (although its phones' internal specs have been a tad disappointing lately).

Man, that strap is ugly! Now if only we could get a nice metal or leather strap for it...
