I went to the H.O.R.D.E. Festival at Jones Beach the summer of 1997. IIRC, it was one of the last shows I saw Soul Coughing perform, if not the last. I went to the Tibetan Freedom Concert, also, on Randalls Island.

Oh, absolutely. I just didn't know about Mr. Shelton! :)

The More I Know! ::shooting star::

Oh, no! Used to love watching as a kid him and Roy Clark have pickin' battles on Hee Haw. And I've heard he did the guitar solo for "Valleri", the one that was cut quickly to be used on an episode on The Monkees' show, not the single. I believe it.: https://www.youtube.com/wat…

It's so few episodes, though, that one can only hope when he does have a show on, it's inspired. Having to do the broadcast network gig, unless the network is going to be completely hands off (which is unlikely), has to be a PITA because they want certain types of demos and ratings, and ugh.

Those maps are invalid. The first song they played in the "custom" playlist for my zip code was some godforsaken Calvin Harris beep-beep-boop stuff on Vevo, which, no. No one on in this neighborhood listens to a damn thing in English, except maybe me—and no one listens to Calvin Harris around here, Rhianna guesting or

I'm just shocked that Noel Fielding deigned to be on this show. I mean, if they had to replace anyone in moving to Channel 4, surely this gig would have been more up David Mitchell's street…?

Even if he goes to a Club Fed, he's gonna get shanked, isn't he?

Eno!

So there's Kid Creole and The Kidd Creole? Yeesh.

It's true, it's a great primer, though I've passed on making some of those dodgy-looking dips…

My 1969 copy of the Betty Crocker Cookbook. It's the one I grew up on and learned to cook from.

I can guarantee you that mine was the only family in our 'hood in the mid to late 70s who enjoyed "The Mac Davis Show" (especially if Glen Campbell was on), "Hee-Haw", "The Barbara Mandrell Show", and "Dolly!" I think the exclamation point was part of the show title, if I remember correctly. Anyway, I'm sure we were

Unfortunately, no. If you know where to look you can get the entire audio recording of the play with him in it, but no film/video. Bowie, Donal Donelly (who played Dr Treves), and Patricia Elliott (who played Mrs. Kendal) did two scenes for the Omnibus program, and those same scenes were filmed and shown on a BBC talk

They totally owe Debbie Harry some money, though, for lifting her 70s look. From seeing the one sheets at my train station, I first thought this was a Deborah Harry documentary.

I'm worried about what will happen to make us comply and agree with him when these instances of propaganda stop working, even for the base. They're playing softball right now, surely. I know when I wouldn't comply at home it went from wheedling to getting whipped with a switch pretty damn quick, and he reminds me of

I thought that list was supposed to be a joke…?

Oh, this is sad. I loved her in all the things, but especially as Witch Hazel. I hope her passing was peaceful. She gave so many of us so much joy.

I went on a date in college with this guy who picked Lambada. It was the only date I went on with this guy, and it didn't even finish with him driving me home, because I left about 10 minutes into the movie.

I'm seeing him in September, so I'm glad to hear he's truly making an effort and not just phoning it in. I'm really looking forward to it. I wish I'd seen him before now, but better now than never! Ugh, Bowie is gone and I never saw him perform live (except on television), and that hurts more than I thought it would,
