This thing looks absolutely incredible, inside and out.

When you consider the current XC90 is a 4 year old design and still looks better than most of what has come out since, it’s a winner.
Well going off of what we’ve seen with the XT4 and the XT5, it won’t be up to class standards as far as material quality and fit and finish.
This...? or a 450/600 HP/TQ - Hybrid... Rear Wheel Drive Based... much better looking Lincoln Aviator...... hmmmmmm....
Wow, there is no passion in this design whatsoever. Congrats Cadillac, you’ve arrived in Blandville. If I first saw this vehicle completely debadged, I might think it was a mid-cycle refresh of the Volvo XC90.
Want to love it. Don’t love it.
That side-by-side shot with the previous generations:
Easy answer: GM should design and produce better looking, higher quality parts for a car that wants to eat at the big kids table. The margins exist. It’s a matter of desire and dedication to being better, or in this case, the lack thereof.
Perusing Good Car Bad Car suggests that there hasn’t been strong US growth in wagon sales so much as there’s been strong growth in Subaru Outback sales.
Reporting for duty
Counterpoint: I used to daily an F250 crew cab, long bed, diesel. I regularly towed a large car hauler, dump trailer, etc on weekends and week nights. Affording a single vehicle that could carry my family + do everything I needed on weekends was far more financially sound than buying a truck+a commuter. Not to mention…
Its frustrating to be sure, but towing these trucks out of the way is just going to result in violence. The kind of bro-truck, redneck mentality that leads to them ICE-ing, comes with a hearty helping of macho posturing as well.
I did the same thing as you. It feels like a product that was developed for third world markets, which is exactly what it is.
You get it. Backing in is key. It’s easier cause your pivot point is back there and you can see that end of the truck better bacause of the high bed corners. It’s not rocket science.
I’m 6'3" and mostly legs, so it looks like I wouldn’t fit in the Ranger any better than the Colorado.
Yeah, I read that particular bit and immediately decided I need a coat like a North Korean general to hold all my medals, because parking an F-150 is not that hard.
They will never make an electric pick up, have you seen electric cars? They don’t have grills.
Tucker was involved in the chase after being involved in a “domestic situation” and was stopped by police before speeding off
Infiniti needs to stop with the concepts. Make a new car already.
“The competitive challenges for GM are very real. But their workers have gotten GM through the roughest times. They want to share in the better times.”
