Whoa cool theory! That does make more sense.

If Rockstar releases story-based DLC they can make some cash on the single sale, but they lose a lot of Online players to the DLC, at least for a week or so. I imagine some bean counters did the math and feel like single player DLC is a detriment to their bottom line.
They switched to Yu-Gi-Oh? Talk about a downgrade. YOU CALL THIS PROGRESS?!
Kotaku will always find a way to feel offended by mainstream culture.
Nice deflection.
Yeah that made me laugh, pretty much the worst developed nation on Earth in terms of IP but hey kudos, boys.
Besides Luke Plunkett, I’ve never heard of anyone playing this game.
Not to deprive the good folks at G/O Media of their ad revenue, but Walmart will likely have it for this price on release day as well.

Was this game a massive bust? From time to time I’ll hear people talk about whatever the latest COD installment is, but I’ve never encountered any mention of a real human playing this game. I do recall lots of dumb controversy before it came out.
You just cranked the Nerd up to 11.
I can’t seem to replicate it on my account, I can see the price but it jumps to full price when I try and select any configuration/color. I’m guessing this is a promotion for new Amazon Music subscribers only. Or people who care enough to create dummy accounts.

I could take him.
I feel like if you’re spending $1,200 at a flea market you’re doing something terribly wrong.
Yeah there were quite a few lines in that letter that strongly indicated he was in fact the insane person all along. I shivered a couple times.
I bet they at least double their lifetime sales on the back of this article and the FOMO effect you cited.
They’ve chosen the side of money, not China. The image they WANT to portray is that they are neutral. They don’t want to pick a slice they want the whole pie, which makes sense for a business. It’s just not gonna play well much longer.
History is not going to be kind to Blizzard’s stance on China. They seem convinced their neutrality will eventually be accepted but I don’t see that happening.
Those katana-style hand grips are worth the price of admission on their own. Well not really, but boy are they slick.
Yeah I noticed that too, it seems to be a better iteration in every way but it’s not garnering a ton of attention. I imagine it’ll pick up steam if they put out some cool DLC for it.
That happened to me once. I’m about 1,000% convinced it’s a consequence-free crime too, unless they’re seeing the same face doing it over and over again and really pushing the issue with local police.
