Sorry that two idiots (and counting) have taken this seriously.

Control is an awesome game and everyone should go buy it right now. GOTY contender for me, definitely, though it faces some stiff competition the rest of this year.

Not at all with you on the suicide victim part, in common parlance it just doesn’t make any sense, but I sorta forgot the whole part about him being a victim of abuse himself (it’s cyclical after all) so I’m on board with calling him a victim.

Ah gotcha, that whole thing. My bad.

Mostly strong points but why you calling him a victim? The article dances around it, but seems to me he killed himself. You can’t be your own victim. The people he abused are victims, his family and friends are victims, but he’s just a guy that felt he was in too deep and decided not to live anymore.

Not to totally take away from your point, but the gaming industry has been embroiled in the MeToo movement since Day 1. Look what happened to NeoGAF, for example. Tons of disgraced game creators, YouTubers, etc. and unfortunately many haven’t learned a lesson from their peers, and many more still won’t.

How many did he have before the scandal?

Lol that’s a good point. Looking at that video it’s nothing but his supporters commenting. I think a large amount of his casual fans have moved on and will stay moved on, but he clearly has enough fans to continue to make a living and preying on women with low self-esteem.

This isn’t a Dr. Disrespect filming in the bathroom situation. This guy is fully disgraced and won’t gain back the popularity he once had. I’m sure he’ll still find an audience, but it’ll be a fraction of what it was.

Someday I hope to be someone’s WoW goyim. No one periodically pushes buttons with more vigor than I do

Man... who knew prior to five years ago how many sexual deviants were out there?

Brutal timing, what with Inside being free on the Epic Store, but I bought the rest of the bundle anyways.

I’m referring specifically to the slot machine mechanic, I’m aware these games have micro-transactions.

Seems like you’ve drawn a lot of conclusions about the nature of this slot machine without actually having any practical knowledge of the mechanics behind it. What if there’s no opportunity to spend real money to spin the wheels (there’s not)? Do we still need the government to intervene? Let’s solve the homeless

Yeah I ordinarily wouldn’t, but I’m tempted to pay full fare for this to support it and, hopefully, keep the series alive. These games are fun and unique.

No argument from me.

I dunno, guys, Jason doesn’t quite seem sold on this one.

This here is the major downside to being a game journalist/critic. Having to play a buggy game that’s purposely obtuse with no one but the publisher’s PR Department to help you through it. You earned your money this month, Luke.

I believe my hacked Vita just spoofs the current version to access PSN, but I haven’t tried pirating software so I’m unclear on how that all comes together.

I hacked my Vita a couple months ago and initially regretted it. It’s kinda sloppy looking from my perspective, the apps have dorky warez style naming conventions, etc. Then I discovered SD2Vita and now I regret nothing. Moonlighter is also cool but mostly as proof of concept (it’s basically remote play for Steam).
