It did. I bought one on launch day. I’m guessing the international versions didn’t but the US SNES Classic most certainly did. 

Not sure what you’re basing that on. This thing appeals almost exclusively to people over 30 who have already enjoyed these games in their youth. 9 year olds aren’t pining to play Playstation 1 games. M-rated games are perfectly suited to the target demo. 

Seems like a SUPER limited possibility that someone on vacation will not be able to access WiFi for seven days AND have an unimpeachable urge to play NES games after those 7 days pass.

Perhaps a bit ironically, Kinja also completely sucks on an iPhone X. The comments section constantly crashes the whole page. I’m getting around to emailing their tech people but if this is happening with iOS I imagine they’ve heard about it a few times.

Seems like this is THQ Nordic’s wheelhouse. Find defunct but viable IP and get a new entry into development. I’m still shocked they’re doing another Darksiders, I love that series but they’d better deliver in a big way if they want to get good sales figures.
