Consoles aren’t profitable. They’re sold at a loss. (Unless you’re Nintendo; the Wii sold for $250 but only cost about $150 to make.)

The issue mentioned at the end is real. Look at the height of the series x. I don’t think it’ll fit in the shelf under my tv. It’ll have to go beside the tv somewhere. On the left side, I already have my Bass speaker. So it would have to go on the right, but there’s not alot of space between the tv stand and the dvd

Take that passive aggressive concern trolling bullshit, roll it up, and shove it so far up your ass it chokes you.  And I don’t even care what that guy said.

Untwist your underwear, friend. He was making light jabs about the size of the system at best, which makes sense because the Microsoft systems have traditionally been frigging huuuuuge.  You’re getting really aggro over something extremely silly here.

I saw a build of the NZXT and it seems to be very close in dimensions to what the SeriesX is suppose to have. Would be nice to build one but the individual components sold at msrp off the shelf would far exceed the cost of the SX.

Yo, it’s an inanimate object. You don’t need to get offended for it. It has no feelings and it’s going to make money hand over fist. It doesn’t need you to play defense.

I think you might be a little too defensive regarding this article. Nothing negative is stated at all. I’m definitely getting a Series X once I upgrade to a 4K TV next year, and there’s really no arguing that it’s a big friggin box.

I don’t think I’ve ever lost a console to cooling, living in Arizona, with pets that shed everywhere. I see this complaint often, and yet I’ve honestly never experienced it.

Wow... Projecting much?? He made an article about the true size of the XSX. It is huge by volume and wait. It’s form factor makes it look smaller than it actually is.

Regardless of that you comment definitely comes from a place of insecurity for an inanimate box of plastic, metal and silicon.

Relax, disconnect yourself

I have never lost a console due to a cooling issue outside of the X360 red ring of death issue which was a roundabout heating issue. I feel like for the most part, consoles have always done a good job with heating, even if they sometimes sound like a jet engine.

Aw, buck up, kiddo! Tomorrow is a new day.

You mean $499.98 and $299.98

No, please, go on. Explain to me why PS4 and Xbox One needed to support Audio Return Channel, why they were behind the curve on USB-C (a technology that wasn’t even finalized until 2014, nor really commercially available on devices until 2015), and how PS4, with its very popular VR headset (the most popular headset

Cool. Thanks.

Right, except this isn’t PC gaming, it’s console gaming that MS is turning into PC gaming. And unlike PC gaming, you can’t just piecemeal upgrade parts of your console to get get a better version.

Just for fun, here are the Sega consoles as well:

Interesting that the CPU is weaker (by just a little), but that not only is there less RAM, but it’s dramatically slower. Both of those, to me, would mean that developers will be building their titles to the lesser hardware, which cripples Series X games by only being “4K”.

Wouldn’t this mean Microsoft’s immediately

They should only sell them to blues musicians.

Cops have figured out quickly they don’t have to crack heads/shoot people when they can just get their wannabe minions to do it for them. Its like they are reading directly from Putin’s playbook...

I work for a municipality and we drive old police vehicles after the cops are done with them. Most civilians don’t realize it’s not a police car anymore, they see the dog-dish rims, the lack of chrome trim, and the “Police Interceptor” badge on the trunk lid.
