Sure, if you started playing games post 360-era. Halo broke sales records and earned tons of great critical reception at the time of release, there are some great documentaries that analyzed the real effects these games had on people, myself included. This is just an already promised update for the PC version of MCC.

What Mr. Poops said. 1, 2, 3, and maybe Reach were giants of their times. They may not stand out as much now, but they created a large amount of the foundation for today’s FPS games.

I agree, after Reach I haven’t bought a Halo game at release/launch.

Lotr was always more of a story of stealth rather than action. Would have been super cool

I’d just be happy if they just remastered the Xbox/PS2 era hack’n’slash games.

Better to draw from the design of the LotR movies than The Hobbit movies anyways.

Very impressive considering we’re talking X360 hardware. I’d kill for a new LOTR trilogy game on modern hardware.

Wow!

This game came out for the ps3 lol

Painful really. The backlash against the story is 1/3 homophobia, 1/3 man-baby backlash against Joel dying (god forbid a game make you FEEL emotions) and 1/3 fan culture in general, where a story that focuses on character development rather than plot points gets called “pointless” and people say that “nothing happens

You’re a victim of fan culture haha. It’s like someone took away your favorite action figure and you refuse to play with the other one. It’s meant to make you feel uncomfortable! It’s a powerful experience.

There are several things in the leaks that aren't true. Untrue things were packaged with true things.

Please explain WHY I would want to play a game that goes out of its way to brutally murder the people I just spent the last game getting emotionally invested in

Some people don’t read books and get all their stories from video games and it’s SO obvious.

But that trilogy you speak of was a prequel trilogy BEFORE the original. Your analogy doesn’t work, I’m talking about direct sequels. It’s a bad idea to kill the main character of your series halfway through your second game. Ask people how well that worked out in Batman vs Superman when they killed off Superman after

That’s a really dumb straw man of my position. You can’t get people invested in a main character for one and a half games, then kill them in the second half of the second game and have you PLAY as the killer. Nobody would like that. Why would we be invested in the series if you’re just going to casually kill off the

You can’t argue that pop culture doesn’t influence actual culture in a country with a reality TV star as the president.

Isn’t the answer that the good police officers work from within the system to bring about systemic change and root out corruption?

Unfortunately that seems to be the opposite in most situations. And it’s something a lot of police hiring and training tries to get rid of.
