I thought it was more playing into the weird nicknames/rhyme scheme the other celebrities have going. As in, haha, we know what a Ye, Bey, and Jay are (aliens), but what the heck is a Kim Kardashian? I thought it was funny. In the context of the sentence and the paragraph, it's clear Kim is a human.

I think the funniest part of that Jay/Bey/Ye/KimK gif is the way Kanye goes in to hug Beyonce, and Jay just stares awkwardly at the ground, obviously not wanting to reciprocate and hug Kim.
