I hate that Gary Thorne is a wasted treasure in Baltimore. Loved his calls for hockey and miss him badly doing NCAA tournament games, let alone NHL games. (If Doc Emrick and Gary Thorne were the opposite nights of playoffs, that would be ideal) 

I have a wacky idea...stay with me on this:
What if they had a program, that showed HIGHLIGHTS, without ANY type of analyzing? Even tell the story of the game highlights, without any talking heads. Maybe a quick post game presser if there is some good quips, then on to the next game. NO ANALYZING OFF SEASON SPORTS…

As a huge NCAA hockey fan, I was excited to see this. Especially with how he stated this wouldn’t be a big step for him. I loved the “Non-PR” answer, being truthful, and going out and showing how players can step right from NCAA to the NHL.
