This! I would love for it to be 9. Yesterday it was 10 below zero, and I decided to go hatless and gloveless for the short walks between car and stores, and it was fine. I'm getting to the point where 9 really will feel warm.

I disagree. Sunny and cold is much better than grey and cold. Grey days are really depressing, but blue skies are aesthetically pleasing, at least to me. Where I live there is a ton of snow, so when the sun shines at least my surroundings look pretty and picturesque.
Thank you. Sixteen years ago when I had my first baby, I was unable to breastfeed him because my milk didn't come in, and he couldn't figure out how to latch on properly anyway. (I had him ten weeks early, and when he was born via emergency c-section, I was in intensive care. So he was TINY, and I had to recover…
Geez Louise, people, did you read the article? They each provide about 50% of the ideas, and they make the dresses together, with Mayhem doing more of it than you'd think. At no point does the mother claim that her 4 year old makes all these dresses by herself, nor does she make any kind of claims that her daughter is…
I hate to say stuff you've heard a million times before, but it does get more difficult to have sex as often when you have kids. When you have a baby, if a mother stays home, she may be just saturated with touch by the end of the day and not want even more touch from her husband. If she works outside the home, then…
I remember him from My Bodyguard, and then from Full Metal Jacket. I thought he was kind of attractive back then and am sorry to hear he's a jerk IRL. Also, now I feel really old that I saw those movies when they were in theatres....
In my second year of teaching, I had a boy in my kindergarten who had little self-control and kept hitting other children. His mom showed up one morning to pick him up, so I brought her aside and told her about his behavior. She said that she would give him a "whupping" so that he wouldn't do that anymore.
My first summer working in daycare, I was violently ill by each Friday afternoon. I'd spend the weekend in bed, go back Monday, and be sick with something new by the following Friday.
Every first-time parent does that. When my firstborn was tiny and got his first cold, I couldn't figure out what to do so I just held him and cried.
We LOVE that movie over at my house!
I'm sorry to hear that. Maybe he can take the kids and you can go to the movies?
Really? I hated it. I respect your right to like it — many critics certainly did — but I thought it was bleak, boring, and ultimately pointless. Oscar Isaac I like, though, and I hope to see him in better movies soon. (I feel I must add that I'm normally a big Coen brothers' fan.)
Why don't you go with him to he movies? I'm just curious. Mr. Berkowitz and I are movie fans, and almost every movie I've seen in the last thirty years has been with him. We love Thanksgiving because sometimes we mange to see five movies in four days.
This is the first year I have seen ALL of them. I took a year off from teaching, so my more relaxed, less busy state explains why that has been possible. They were all good except for Nebraska, which I disliked. I think Her was my favorite. I can't wait to stay up late and watch the show. My teen boys actually used to…
While she's taking time off, I want to see some cute pictures of her and the delicious Nicholas Hoult every once in a while (she does deserve her privacy after all, so I won't go too overboard).
Oh, pffft.
That made me giggle, so thanks. I looooove Fresca, but I only have it rarely, as a special treat. If I had it in the house, I'd drink it every day.
You're way ahead of me. Still in my sweats, desperately in need of a shower.
I don't mind Haddie, actually. Her mother is a basket case, so what do you expect? I like Drew and Amy, although it's bound to turn out badly and be another Valuable Life Lesson for Drew.
It's going to be appalling, I think. It will be fabulous to watch, however. Celebrity train wrecks are so entertaining.
