They could have donated the money and sent her the note. They didn’t need to plaster it on social media though. I feel it would have been far better if they just did the note and everything and just kept it to themselves.

I know. I’m not famous (like super not famous) but the idea that it’s cool for a company to be like “Hey, Sehjma, thanks for ordering <potentially embarrassing thing> from us!” all over their social media is...not cool.

Yeah, I read her entire note as “I disagree with the choice you made but I’m not judging you, you did what you felt you had to. Here’s some professional advice re: the other gorillas.”

Probably more like “be that as it may” or “whatever the reasons.”

She’s in her 80s ... I think her use of “whatever” was not in the dismissive tone you use it here.
