california isn’t the only one. I lived in NY and you could always find a mechanic to pass you, especially if it was pre 1996. Visual only for pre obd2 in NY, so straight pipes and big turbo are no problem.

the only Harley that isn’t atrocious is the sportster. It’s a comfortable, decent looking, rides a passenger better than anything else I’ve ever been on and girls love them!

It will take a long time for VW to get past perceived quality issues (if ever). I tell people to stay the hell away from vw unless they want a brand new car that’s also a project car.

bikes were sexy but iirc they were very expensive, like 20-30k expensive. Not too many manufacturers can flip 30k bikes, and certainly not many of them (harley aside)
