So as a comics newbie in a relative sense (tablets getting popular and, as Marvel hoped, the first Iron Man flick helped finally make me check them out), and the Ultimates being a suggested entry point as a newbie way back when (which, BTW might work for spiderman but certainly not Iron Man given how, well, cumbersome

Even the concept art on Age of Ultron for quicksilver suggests a less-campy take. I mean, I know he was kinda portrayed as Euro-trash in at least the Ultimate universe, but man, this kid looks like he belongs in Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey's version of heaven

"This is gonna get worse before it gets better" is one of those appropriate-in-all-situations Simpsons line. There was this instance, Jasper with his beard in the pencil sharpener, and I feel like at least one more from classic-era Simpsons I'm missing.

It's a nice point you're making about the show and I'm sure a lot of people appreciate that you went out of your way to do so, but i'm sure you could've done it without explicitly mentioning the comics angle.

I honestly do not remember it ever being brought up and I've read all the comics so I'm guessing no, but I could be wrong…

Those spoiler alerts tend to happen before you mention the thing you spoiled, else it's kind of useless

There's nothing more in the world I want know than for someone to make those adjustments to existing Cathy strips and see how it turns out….

Especially when the distribution method was laid out in advance. These people have received what they were promised.

I dunno, I've seen every episode as well and I don't think it has been more often than that.

So, over the course of more than a half season, each around 44 minutes, 5 lines of dialogues taking up maybe 10 seconds is them overplaying the Avengers part?

I said kick, not reach, Christina Reach-y

I love this idea

Even though I own the blu rays, I'd be shocked if I didn't end up watching at least half of this. As said upthread, this show gets better and has something new every time you rematch.

HIs immediate recognition of how inappropriate it was just sold it

But the movie wasn't about the process of writing an award winning song, nor was this particular scene about the actually song itself. Better off just leaving this one alone if you haven't seen the movie, methinks. Context matters.

I wasn't aware I needed to defend my ways

Well the title also had a reference to it possibly being on its way to being TV's best comedy, which is quite a nice thing to say about a first year sitcom if you ask me

I dunno people seem to be projecting a lot of what they want on to this show (due mostly to it being based on existing movie properties) as opposed to just consuming it as content, or even looking for reasons to dislike it.

Marvel has the TV rights to the character and thus could use her however they wanted )that sounds dirty)

The only way Coulson's team has purpose is if the name of the bad guy's organization is recognizable?
