Nuclear war....and Trump, global climate change, Russian trolls, Jon Stewart’s departure, and Kinja. Not necessarily in that order.
[crickets]
Since 1975.
Is it superficial to lump Kinja in with Trump and the hurricanes? Lately I feel like everything is just going to shit.
Kinja: the direct-to-DVD phase of the A.V. Club’s promising early career.
That’s rich. These music distributors work out a deal with Youtube so their catalog of hundreds of thousands of albums are automatically streamed as audio-only videos (“Provided to YouTube by Universal Music Group North America”). Like Spotify, except you don’t have to sign up and the artist receives literally nothing…
And not knowing which of your comments were “recommended” without being redirected to a new page.
A picture is worth a thousand words. Ideally, the same thousand words that have disappeared from the comments.
Didn’t today’s thirty-somethings grow up in the 90's, for the most part?
Another lovely new Kinja quirk....if the last line before the end of the headline (for lack of a better word) is hyperlinked, that click leads to the related linked article (in this case something about clown copyrights) rather than the main article, despite all instincts wanting that click to be directed to the main…
Not what I said. Just because a movie is bad doesn’t make it a parody. If you’re going to call a bad movie a parody, then that awfulness needs to be intentional if it’s supposed to actually be making fun of something.
I forgave both questionable plot threads from last week because last night’s finale was executed so well. The thing that bugs me was Sam’s arc this past season. What was the point of him going to the citadel? To cure Jorah of grayscale, just so Jorah could return to the story like nothing happened? To do nothing…
Hmmm....the Captain would have made more sense as Fagin and Juice would make more sense as Bill Sykes.
“How Did This Gets Made? is live this week....”
“Not specific frights, mind you; rather, it’s just a distinct sense-memory”
Arguably, although both films did not do full justice to their source material, the Secret of Nimh at least stands on its own artistically.
My impression so far (as per G.O.T., and beyond): it’s not just the qualitative changes to Kinja. The community itself has already changed. Fewer comments, fewer up votes, fewer replies, less fun.
Don’t be too sad. All in all, it’s just another break in the wall.
Who else cannot wait until 2019 to watch Aiden Gillen do his best impression of Maisie Williams as Arya Stark as Littlefinger?
