They aren’t necessarily forgoing medical care. Being able to call an Uber and have it actually come get you, as opposed to waiting for a taxi that may-or-may-not come, probably encourages people to go to the hospital sooner, when their condition isn’t as acute. Waiting another couple of hours until they’re desperate…
