I personally support the guy’s use of his horn here. Unfortunately, some states do actually have specific rules regarding horn use. In Michigan for example, the reason has to be related to safety. No expressing frustration or saying “hi” as you pass a neighbor’s house. You have to be warning someone of imminent danger.

It also may be worth noting that Smith enjoyed a confidence talking so freely and contemptuously to a police officer that I suspect many other people wouldn’t expect to have, at least not without the involvement of firearms.

It isn’t needless. People have places to be. If someone doesn’t have enough cognizance to realize a light is green, they’re not paying attention. If they’re not paying attention, they’re a hazard to themselves and those around them. They should be on a bus.

Get a dash cam. I have disputed a ticket with dash cam evidence and won and had a cop notice I had a cam rolling and his tune changed from you’re getting a ticket to here’s a warning, have a nice day.

I’ve seen it time and time again. If a cop really wants you to have a ticket, you are going to have a ticket. You know, to protect and serve.
