As a tier 1 auto supplier to all the major automakers, I assure you we would never get any business if we tried to source all of our components within the US. It would be far too expensive and the OEM would not even entertain our quote. 

As long as it’s made on Earth and not by some space aliens that’s all that matters.

The shotgun is actually pretty nice, I have a similar Beretta 687 over/under for competitive skeet and trap that was around $1800. 

Viper was basically a flop because they only had a top of the line edition, no entry level trim to compete with almost $50k cheaper Corvettes.

I remember the Jeep sun visor one, and if I recall it was due to technicians not properly putting the wire harness back in place after they removed the headliner for a different issue. Don’t remember the ford trucks with cruise control one, I’ll have to look into that to remind myself 

I had the same thought. I am not familiar with petrol cars igniting at random while sitting still with everything turned off.

TBD, thankfully I have not heard of any layoffs from the group I work with at Ford
