C’mon, don’t try to high road me on this. You made a huge assumption about those who were offended by this. Of course no one would have been offended if it was a white kid. That may be the point, but how does it supersede the reality of people getting pissed off because they see a little black kid being labelled as a

I work in marketing and I’m often the only person of color.

I really hate when people try to justify this shit.

You are naive. And it seems you also lack any empathy toward those who found this to be racially insensitive. You even have gone on to tell them what you think is the best way to “move past” racism. Two types of people I know of want that, racists and those who are oblivious to racism. Good people want racism to stop,

Plus, the idea of a hip-hop beef between Fox News and The Root seems like fun.

Deep in the fuckin’ heart of.., I guess.

Even if you collect your own rain water, you have to be careful that you’re not growing bacteria in the pipes and tanks it goes into.

What bothers me is that you’re not getting it from me.

This is why I refuse to learn the Electric Slide.

But a black flight attendant, for the flight, which was operated by Envoy Air, accused the players of stealing the blankets, because how dare two coach passengers be in the possession of two first class blankets!

Not my president.

I’d take some of that action, and double down that it happens during February.

Black Thought will be an MC who history will favor more than most. Eminem has been on the decline for at least two albums. Black Thought has been consistently good or has gotten better. Album to album there hasn’t been one where you could say he sounded better on his last.

Chuck D is definitely in my top 5. Then again, Black Thought has been in there since The Tipping Point. Prior to that he was my number 6. Been listening to The Roots since Clones dropped. As an MC he’s only gotten better. A true artist who has always appeared to be more dedicated to honing his craft than his image.

It’s called “fitting the description”, mixed with a racially-biased judicial system that sees young black men as guilty despite any reasonable doubt.

I wouldn’t say “infiltrating”. It seems more like “being welcomed with open arms.”

If you think that’s what I’m saying then you’re the idiot.

I don’t know how to do the Electric Slide. Spades, tho?

I think that the only rap groups that should be in the Rock and Roll HOF are Run DMC, Beastie Boys, Public Enemy, and the Roots. These groups created a lasting synergy with rap and rock. LL Cool J sold a lot of rap albums, but I can’t say he’s well known for pushing the boundaries of music beyond his debut.

I’ve been in the friend-zone and I have to disagree with all of that except the discussion of sexual activities. The friend-zoning that I’ve experienced has been more subtle in that regard, but it’s still the same “dangled carrot”.
