If you trust them to complete this project, why give them your money now and get nothing in return? Give them later, when you’ll get something. Put that money in some financial investment and by the time the book comes out, you’ll have a couple dollars more than what you’re paying now.

There’s been a disturbing trend of big, proven moneymaker companies using Kickstarter for projects they apparently don’t want to fully commit to. Not video games, but I remember Funimation getting a lot of shit for using Kickstarter to fund the redub of Escaflowne.

The big thing seems to be new characters and a PvE mode...some of which is also going to be available for Overwatch 1. It never made much sense, nor do I get the idea that they’ll be able to replicate what made the original game so iconic.

I did particularly like how the article he posted (in a now dismissed post) claiming victims of abuse were saying boycotts don’t work were in fact just one woman who was concerned about her bonus and some unnamed employees. Because, you know, those people are the victims of abuse somehow.
