It's the visual representation that I take issue with, it's played out

One other issue I have is the INCREDIBLY worn and somewhat insulting cliche of the guy caught between the sultry, dark haired bad girl and the blonde, good girl.

"alternating between intense and having a sense of humor,"

Disagree about the Karen Matthew plot, it's not been rushed. It was begun last season. That's the only good thing I have to say about it though. Romance on this show is not good. Karen the character and the actress are barely there, really boring.

I see it more as a cautionary tale re: Superman. It's not who he IS, it's who he COULD BE. It shows a Superman twisted into a mockery of his role by a world that's moved beyond the values he embodies.

All superheroes are "fascists", it's part of the deal. Can we move past this reductive point that's been made over and over since 1986?

Seriously, if you want to get "tired" read anything by Roy Thomas from back then

Discussing it in context is one thing — to say Miller's Batman story says "a lot" about the mental health system today is a shameful stretch. It's just superficial, specious nonsense.

I wanted to read this but the first paragraph is so "off" I couldn't bring myself to continue

"I forgot about Bill Sienkiewicz"

Wow you are giving me a very difficult choice here. Let me think about it.

Along those lines, have you ever noticed that every coffee cup on TV shows is obviously empty?

Yeah just showing Theon's reaction doesn't nullify hers

I was with you till the Marvel movies part

Wait is this about rape or sexism? Or both? Actually - what's the overlap? How much rape can you have before it becomes sexist? Can you truly be sexist without depicting rape? Is it how often you depict it or HOW you depict it? If and when you cut away …? What if they just talk about it, but never show it? Say for
