in a pinch, yes. in reality, not really...

hmm shallots, 1.99 lb. red/yellow onion .99-1.99 lb. OH NOES BANK BROKEN

Yes, this.

My girlfriend and I use shallots in quite a few recipes, and they are awesome. Possibly my favorite type of onion...

Red onions are a pretty passable substitute for shallots in a pinch.

El Jimador is definitely at the top of my list for cheap yet delicious as well as MaƱana tequila. But if I'm feeling sophisticated I'll pour some Don Julio. You can never go wrong with the Don.

I second the El Jimador for margarita purposes

Lunazul's good for the price, and used to come with mail-in rebates all the time when I bought it in Virginia. Now I am in Massachusetts where discounting booze is banned, because the devil. GFY, Puritans.

and may I add Espolon, a classy tequila with a bitchin bottle

Haha. wow. fast. But, Jesus Badger... no frigging replicator in the original Trek. COME ON!!!

A beard wouldn't have been bad.

Michael Hague has such a distinctive style. I have a 30+ yr old hardcover of the Wizard of Oz with illustrations on nearly every page (and signed with a Lion doodle), and I think I kept my unicorn calendar of his, probably from sometime in the 80s.

You can be academically gifted and go to a lousy high school or be ignored because you're the wrong color. I know someone who was not told about AP classes because they assumed he wouldn't be interested.

This is possibly the best thing on the internet. Let's hope it stays forever.

A simple replacement of the air container in the back with a 2liter soda bottle made the SS-100 a nuclear weapon on the lawns during our youth!

I had that one. It was awesome.

I preferred the 100 myself.

I agree!
