Beer mile! It’s become quite competitive in recent years.

Yea if you just need something portable for email/web/excel/word etc. on the go, you could do a lot worse. Although IMO 11" screen/keyboard is a bit small for real productivity, but that’s a personal preference.

It has so many good cameos! Definitely worth your time. They also released a documentary about the making of the original movie.

Wet Hot American Summer (the new Netflix series). It’s great!

The Manitowoc Sheriff’s Dept is investigating Steven Avery’s whereabouts on the night in question.

Haha me too, bought a PS3 2 years ago and have happily playing through Mass Effect trilogy, Skyrim, Fallout 3/New Vegas, Uncharted trilogy, etc. I get the games used for cheap on Ebay. There are plenty of great games from the last 10 years that’ll keep me occupied for a while.

The annuity is based on treasury bond rates. It’s not that hard to take the lump sum, invest fairly conservatively, and still come out ahead of what the annuity would pay out. With a prize this big, you can live on interest income alone and just let the principal sit (you could even set it up to make it very hard to

“Generously, he’s chosen to apply said handsomeness towards playing total wierdos and creeps instead.”

According to Drew, no, he is not alive:

Many setups (including mine) don’t have common wires. One of the reasons I went with ecobee, since it has the adapter kit and doesn’t require running a new wire.

Yea mine seemed off at first, so I stuffed some insulation in the holes w/ the wiring and the temp readings came back to normal. That sucks about the ceiling fan, I don’t have one right near mine so can’t comment.

If my furnace loses power, why do I care if my thermostat has power?

My existing setup didn’t have a common wire, so I used the power extender kit (which is included for free with the Ecobee) and installed it in ~15 minutes, and I’m not an especially handy person. The kit just basically splices power from the furnace onto the existing wires to the thermostat, so no new wiring to run.

This is one of the reasons I went w/ Ecobee3; doesn’t use a battery, just uses the furnace for power with an adapter, so as long as the furnace has power the thermostat does.

With the exception of pretty much just the episode “Hardhome,” Veep and Silicon Valley were much more enjoyable than Thrones last year.

Considering Netflix is now a major content competitor to HBO? Probably never.

I’m with you on curved screens. Not too worried about 8k... 1080 has had a lengthy reign, I figure 4k will be relevant long enough until I’m ready for another TV in 2025 or so!

And that one was actually $1800 around Black Friday. Which is why I’m hopeful for something in that price ballpark for 4K during the holidays in 2016. I want to keep my next tv for a while, so will try to “future proof” as much as I can w/ 4k rez. When I bought my current tv there weren’t even that many HD (720p or

Aesthetics ... For some people a nicer looking set is appealing, especially if it’s going to be mounted front and center in their living room or whatnot.

I just hope that they lower the price point of their “lower tier” OLED sets to compete better with higher end LED stuff from Samsung. I really don’t want to spend more than $1500, but might splurge for a sub-$2000 55” 4k OLED. Missed on the good plasmas from Panasonic and Samsung a few years ago, willing to keep
