It's only cheap if subsidized by a carrier ... off-contract the 4s is $549.The rumored point of these cheaper iPhones was something that could be manufactured cheaper and therefore sold cheaper (without subsidies), in markets (ie everywhere but the US) that don't do the carrier subsidized thing.

True. I have a love hate relationship with running ... so I'll be into it for 4 months and do a bunch of races ... then I won't run at all for a few months, and do other stuff like mtn bike and lift weights. I could never be one of those "run 5 days a week, 52 weeks a year" people.
