Michele Dauber is right. He can do just as much damage to women in civil court. Get him off the bench.

Earlier this week, Persky recused himself from a child pornography case in which he had been considering reducing the defendant’s felony conviction to a misdemeanor.

Nobody is saying it’s ok. I asked why she would would make a statement that he doesn’t care about this particular charity when he actually has a long and well documented history with it. Nobody is saying he isn’t abusive. I'm saying its a bizarre statement to make and I wondered why she would try to discredit this…

I don’t think anyone is saying taking her money was okay, more that it’s odd her argument would partially be that he isn’t charitable. He can be a misogynist abusive asshole who still gives a shit about these charities.

I think it’s super shitty that she felt she had to.

Also, what would her taxs have been on that 7 million? More than she could deduct? If she’s only making 200k per year, is given 7 milly in a divorce settlement, she still would have to pay taxs on that 7 million regardless of if she donated it or not, correct? That would put her way in the hole.

Don’t know about ACLU but them saying he never gave a damn about CHLA is laughable. They even threw him a dinner a few years back for all of his work with children’s hospitals.

I’m not sure he thought about it (or anything) much at all, but his lawyers definitely did which helps to explain why they jumped at that settlement.
