She (Jackie) also pretty much launched Lilly Pulitizer’s fashion career for her.

Did not know that about Shearer. She’s one of my favorites, so lovely. Great article!

Me too. We win.

I fucking hate Elmo. He represents everything from a time when my daughter was a baby and my mother-in-law was babysitting her (because, thanks Home Depot for screwing me out of maternity leave over a clerical error the HR manager made). And how when I caught my husband cheating, and my MIL defended him, I took my

For sure. I hate knowing things. News? Who needs it? I know everything about the world by just looking out my front window. Pesky people, sharing information about other places.

What I see is sloppily dressed humans daring to step to the legend that is Coco (acknowledging that we’re not sure about her opinions and interactions w/ Nazis, speaking strictly to her aesthetic and design talent, and its forever influence on fashion).

Cher’s Tweet could easily have been Trump’s, if my emoji translating is accurate.

Yeah, that guy is for sure a trans that identifies as a woman. Obvs.

Our local news recently reported on a terrible car crash here that killed a young black woman. In the story they mentioned that she left behind 3 small children (reasonable to mention) then went on to say each one had a different father and one is in prison. Literally NO reason to bring that up. Disgusting.

I could be mis-remembering that it was a spray. Been a couple years now.

Oooh, damn. Damn damn.

Damn. Ow.

Yikes. I met a woman once who had recently recovered from having a staph infection in her BRAIN. She was in a coma for weeks, and suffered a little brain damage. I have no idea quite how that happens, but it sounded utterly terrifying.

Holy hell. Cannot imagine how scary that had to be. And yes, this is just a big story because for some odd reason the hair tie on the wrist thing is trendy.

Yep, same. Under my arm. Had to sleep with my arm extended on a chair w/ pillows the pain was SO brutal. That’s real stuff.

My Dr. says MRSA actually lives in the “nares” (nostrils), and people with that specific type of staph can get a nose spray to treat it? I never followed up because life, but that may have been the case. Quite likely the case with this woman, too, if antibiotics didn’t work.

Yep, anything that constantly rubs on part of the body can open up the skin, and then it’s open season for any bacteria that happens along. Bacteria of all kinds are on our skin, in our noses....all over things we touch. You just have to be mindful.

Appears to be a staph infection. We all carry staph on our skin. It was the constant rubbing from the hair ties combined with trapped bacteria. I’ve had this twice (MRSA, even, because I’m lucky like that). They hurt like an MF-er. I was certain I had cancer and was about to die. But ultimately it just needs drained

We have a cat that does that, often. And I did it last night. Fell. Out of my bed.

Literally did reply to me, use your own eyeballs. “It’s not her fault no one clicked the link. Jeebus people. Quit trying to justify making assumptions.”
