Part of the power of this show is recognizing myself in some of Amy's actions. Anyone who's worked for a large corporation will understand some of what she's going for. And the petty, self-centered little feelings that can lead to these actions.

You're like Amy before she goes into treatment. Your posts are like when she forces those elevator doors open and starts screaming at Brad.

Millie and Harris are incapable of being phony, which makes them all the more endearing. So many good moments in that show. I personally do experience the show differently since becoming a parent. Before my kid, I completely related to the kids on the show (I was their age in '83—when the show is set). After my kid, I

I've seen her play the most grimly sardonic streetwalker of all time in a Williamstown Theatre production of "Hot L Baltimore" and I didn't recognize her. She's a fantastic character actress.

My parents (in their 70s), my kid (10) and I all watch "The Middle" and everyone agrees it's really funny and entertaining. The comedy balance of hyper-crazed vs. stoic-reserved in that show is perfect, thanks to the entire cast vs. Neil Flynn as Mike.

You said it, pal.

I had that reaction to it in 1986. I still can't believe it. But by the mid-80s, bad films full of stereotypes had become so much a part of the entertainment landscape that criticizing them all was exhausting. I hid out in San Francisco—a good film-snob environment—until the late 90s.

Watching this with my son, I just kept sighing. It only needed a Speedy Gonzales character, trying to steal some cheese, and a guy asleep under a cactus. Hey, give my son the full overview of cartoon stereotyping to complete his education.

I like "Infamous" better too. "Capote" shows such the dark side of his character that it's impossible for me to believe anyone would invite him into their lives in Kansas and give him the information he needed to write. Capote was by all accounts, extremely charming when he was young and many people, especially women,

Do not go gentle into that good night, screaming twins, for surely you will get a call from All Stars. Hopefully the Chippendales too. I want to see them in their construction outfits.

I thought he did a terrific job talking to God in the garage. He's such a good actor—funny or just quietly reacting to the insanity around him.

Ew.

Ew.
