Evs are already better but availability is the problem. Battery technology keeps advancing. Very few electric cars catch fire even after an accident but everyone makes headlines while 174k cars a year burn and no one cares. Hell Kia had to tell people to park their ICE cars outside due to fire risk. 

I know, right? :( We should’ve learned, is a better way to put it. We certainly seem to be making the same mistakes in this much needed transition away from fossil fuels.

This is something I commented on month’s ago: there needs to be Moon Shot emphasis on batteries getting away from lithium while still performing well enough. Maybe this is the beginning of a whole new branch of battery tech which can be a cost-effective solution for the car battery supply issue.

not yet anyways, with luxury EVs hitting the 400+ mile range mark it would not surprise me if we see a 1000 mile range EV by the end of the decade for sale. at that point anyone complaining about range anxiety has moved the goal posts so far that not even an ICE can reach them.

It is getting there. The biggest problem oddly? Regulation. Check out what some states have done to basically block new chargers based on political divide. It’s insane. Plus, the market has spoken. Get onboard with EV. The torque is just stupid.
