Well, it is a really bad photograph. A picture taken in that lighting, a white and gold dress will look blue.

How the hell “the dress” is considered to be an optical illusion is beyond me. It’s just a really bad photograph taken in really shitty lighting, with an overexposed and an underexposed copy. To me it looks like a set of photos used to make an HDR picture. I love making HDRs, so I can’t help but to see that.
