Wow, so can we expect that any mention of the Gawker story will just continue to disappear from the comments???

LOLOLOLOL.
Well it doesn’t have to be elaborate, it only has to meet the elements of conspiracy to extort in whatever jurisdiction. Things like intent are left up to grand juries/juries to decide in the event an ADA wants to prosecute, though I doubt that anyone will go after this guy. My point is more that Gawker’s actions are…
What?? The escort told him about his HUD situation, then when the guy refused to help, sent the information to Gawker. At that point they were still planning to meet. The escort then reached out to him to tell him he had gone to the press, because he “didn’t care about injustice” since it wasn’t happening to him. I…
Holding the story would not have been aiding and abetting. They have no affirmative obligation to publish it simply because a criminal offense was likely involved, any more than you have the obligation to report someone buying weed or something, as neither journalists nor private citizens are mandatory reporters. And…
I’m sure they have. I mean I understand that it’s hard because you can’t exactly go on a tirade against your boss, but at least don’t go around defending it!!
Glad to see she views exposing harassment of women and misogyny in an industry the same as outing a closeted man with a family, who refused to use his influence unethically, even in the face of blackmail. That’s fucking terrible and she should be ashamed of herself.
Agreed, and in this case, they outed a dude, while protecting the name of a guy who was blackmailing someone, and then Gawker was the avenue for his blackmail. That’s not only NOT newsworthy, it’s aiding and abetting an extortionist. It’s gross no matter what way you put it. They started going on and on about how the…
Yeah it was crazy, and she didn’t just post the one tweet, she kind of went on about it for a few minutes and was arguing with people about it. Like, I know it puts them in a weird position because it is their employer but I dunno, I was hoping to at least see something about it because it’s just soooooooooo fucking…
Yeah it’s seriously gross. One of Jezebel’s regular authors was defending the post, saying shit like “If something’s true, you publish it.” It was really disgusting.
The absolute perfectness of her face upsets me.
I lost it at Colin Hanks as the Sultan. Well done, Ali Abobby.
Tobias Menzies is ridiculous in that show, I hate Randall SO MUCH and he’s terrifying, but then Frank I just want to gently stroke his hair until he falls asleep.
Tina has Amy beat as far as creating things, but I prefer watching/listening to Amy, and I prefer her kind of comedy and delivery. She just seems warmer to me. That being said I still love Tina.
Parks and Rec is ABSOLUTELY better than 30 Rock. 30 Rock was really funny, but Parks was funnier and had a lot more heart, IMO. I’ve never been so attached to characters as I was for Parks. Also Poehler didn’t write for Parks and Rec, so Tina may be a better writer, but I like Amy’s comedy delivery and talent better.
I think that’s why I find Amy funnier and more enjoyable to watch. She’s got such heart!!
Man, I really miss seeing Amy Poehler on my TV screen regularly. She is simply fantastic. I miss Parks and Rec so much. Amy > Tina (though I still like Tina).
Sorry but, will read. Idk, I have a thing for lifestyle-sites like this. Not everything on them is good, but occasionally there’s great stuff, and this sounds diversified enough in content that I will give it a shot.
Let’s be honest, Meryl Streep is amazing on her own, but of late she’s getting Oscar nominations simply for being Meryl Streep.
Ok but if you go on a vacation, when you come back you absolutely can’t talk about because it will make you seem like a snobby, condescending jerk for daring to enjoy yourself!
